Mont Saint-Michel

Le Mont Saint-Michel is a place that since the early 2000's years was on my To-visit list.

This summer was finally the occasion to have a stop over in in Normandy on our trip further to Ireland.

We left our car in Beauvoir and from there walked alongside the Couesnon in direction Sea, approaching Mont Saint-Michel. The weather was not bad but not really good, too what finanlly favored my decision to postprocess many pictures in black and white. At the end these were the pictures I considerd the best.

I did not even try to take classical pictures of this extraordinary monumet as the mass of visitors made it impossible  to achieve satisfying results. Futhermore I think that there are so many excellent pictires availble that it doesn't make any sense to rival with them.

Finally I tried to focus in the four elements that were predominat (apart form the Mont Saint-Michel itslef) - beach - clouds - seagulls - and  take them into the context with some details of the well visited monument.
